Wednesday, July 25th, 2007…busy, they are REALLY busy!!!!!
At present I’m fully immersed back in the musical world. I place that I previously resided for a number of years. The difference now? I have a full-time business that has nothing to do with music. I have two growing boys that I spend as much time as I can get with them. I’m trying to get the house that I currently call home ready to sell. I’m also trying to keep my friends (meaning, trying not to neglect everyone too much).
Rehearsals for Guys & Dolls are progressing… pretty well. I’m playing (trumpet) and directing the band. I don’t know what the hell I was thinking, one or the other seems to make far more sense at the moment. Not sure if I’m just out of practice, or perhaps I was delusional the last couple of times that I did something like this before (two separate occasions). Tomorrow is opening night, this evening is the last dress rehearsal. Fingers crossed, saying my prayers and trying really hard to rest as much as I can (my chops and I aren’t on speaking terms at the moment, something to do with neglect…).
The show runs from July 26 to August 4 (PG Playhouse - Prince George, BC). If you haven’t got your tickets yet, what are you waiting for?
Additionally the PG FolkFest is on this Friday & Saturday - I also have an appearance to make there Saturday afternoon with NAVAZ! (the persian-jazz marvel!).
This is a long-winded way of explaining the current lack of posts. I was not dilligent enough to have anything queued up for posting during this flurry of acitivity. I will resume regular posting (mostly pics) shortly.
